Reading the breakdown

Where the money
actually goes

Most of what you pay in year one is not our fee. Knowing the split is the single most useful thing when comparing quotes from three different consultants.

  • Licence fee. Set by the free zone authority or the Department of Economy. Non-negotiable, identical whichever consultant you use.
  • Registered address. A flexi-desk in a free zone, or an Ejari-registered office for mainland. Mainland office rent is the reason mainland costs more.
  • Immigration establishment card. Required before any visa can be issued. Some cheap packages quietly exclude it.
  • Per-visa charges. Entry permit, status change, medical, Emirates ID and stamping. Roughly AED 4,000 – 5,500 each, mostly government-set.
  • Our professional fee. One line, disclosed, plus 5% VAT. If a competitor's quote has no such line, it is buried in the fees above.
Reality check

The AED 5,750 licence

Advertised prices under AED 6,000 are real, but they describe a zero-visa licence in a northern-emirate free zone, usually excluding the establishment card and the immigration file. The moment you need one residence visa, the true year-one figure roughly doubles.

That is not a scam — it is a real product that suits some people perfectly. It only becomes a problem when it is sold to someone who needed a visa and a bank account all along.

Pricing questions

What people ask about cost

Three reasons, in order of frequency. First, packages include different things — one may exclude the establishment card, the immigration file or the registered address, which you then pay for separately. Second, some consultants mark up government fees and keep the difference. Third, the headline figure is often a first-year promotional rate that jumps at renewal. Compare on the three-year total with an itemised breakdown, and the differences usually collapse.

Activity-specific external approvals (for example from the Central Bank, the Ministry of Health or the Media Council), share capital where a zone requires it to be deposited, office rent beyond a flexi-desk, medical insurance, Emirates ID express fees, and translation or attestation of foreign documents. Where any of these apply to you, they appear as separate lines in your written quote.

VAT at 5% applies to our professional fee. Most fees charged directly by a government authority or free zone regulator are outside the scope of UAE VAT, which is why this calculator applies VAT only to the Interbiz portion. Your invoice will show the VAT line separately.

Roughly the licence renewal plus the establishment card renewal, plus any visa renewals falling due — typically 60% to 80% of year one for a free zone company, because incorporation-only charges do not recur. Ongoing services such as bookkeeping, tax filing and PRO retainers continue at the same monthly rate. We put the year-two figure in writing at the same time as year one, so it is never a surprise.

No. The number and the full breakdown appear on screen as you change the options. The email form exists only if you want the itemised version sent to you for comparison against other quotes — which we actively encourage.

We mean that. If someone can beat it on a like-for-like itemised basis, take their offer. Most of the time, the comparison is what brings people back.
